                          Die heathens!

An incident that resulted in a murder occurred in Istanbul's
Büyükçekmece district on 26 July when one resident took
exception to another's midnight pool party.

Aylin A. went into the apartment house pool with her husband
and friends sometime after midnight.  Because of the noise
they made, though, an argument erupted with another resident.
When Aylin A. and her friends returned to the pool at 4 AM
the argument heated up.

At this point, resident Ali D. phoned a couple of friends and
when they arrived one of them fired on the pool party, killing
Sabri Yılmaz.  Aylın A. and Yalçın B. were wounded.  The
attacker fled the scene in a white car.

Responding to the incident, police took resident Ali D. (49)
into custody and then captured his friends Murat M. (35),
Serkan G. (28) and Ömür K. (29).  all of whom have police
records.  Ali D., who put them up to the attack, has a record
for fraud and narcotics offences.

During their police interrogations all the suspects pointed
the finger at each other.  Subsequently Ali D., Murat M.,
and Serkan G. were jailed and the other suspects were
released pending trial.

     The happy couple's short-lived happiness.

Vildan D. came to Fesleğen village in Niğde for a summer visit but
on the evening of 25 July, as she went to the store with her cousin, she
was allegedly forceably bundled into a car by Hasan B. and two others.

Gendarmerie teams put the village under a blockade, keeping a 24-hour
watch on all entrances and exits.  It was determined that Zekeriya
Dalkılıç and Kadir Soyer had helped Hasan B. to kidnap Vildan hanım
and they were taken into custody the day before yesterday.

As for Hasan B., he announced on social media that "everyone should
just shut up. We're happy. I don't see what the problem is. You can be
sure that when this is all over I'll have a talk with those who have
insulted me."  Hasan B. also posted a photo of himself and Vildan,
arm in arm and looking very happy.


                 "Who has some Advil?"

A 40-person team was assembled to find Vildan and a detailed search
was made of Fesleğen, Tepeköy, Karanlıkdere, Okçu, Ballı Köy villages
and the neighboring mountain pastures.  Technical surveilance determined
that Hasan B. was in Tepeköy, in Bor district, with Vildan, staying
as the home of his sister.

When the Gendarmerie searched the home they found Hasan B. and
Vildan hiding under a bed.  The couple was taken to Niğde State
Hospital for a health check   There, Vildan's relatives attacked and
roughed up Hasan B.

                      Clash of the Sultans

In the course of the investigation into the coup plot forged by
the Fethullahçı Terror Organization (FETÖ) within the Turkish
Armed Forces, it has been learned that the organization members
wrote to each other via a computer game.  This development
brought to mind the TV series 'The Last Ship'.

FETÖ's secret communications tools have become known thanks
to the inquiry begun after the 15 July coup attempt.  It has been
determined that the coup-plotters communicated via the Chinese
QQ.com network and WhatsApp.  They also used the computer
game Clash of Kings to talk to each other.

The judgement is that the coup gang was inspired by the TV
series 'The Last Ship', which was on the air in 2014.  The series
starred Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra and Adam Baldwin and centers
on the spread of a virus from Egypt that has wiped out 80% of
human life.  The vaccine to save the world is on the ship.

However, there is group of people who have been immune from
the effects of the virus since birth (FETÖcu's) and they want to
seize the vaccine and destroy it.  The group has all sorts of
weapons available and they communicate with each other
secretly via internet games.


                 Good advice these days.

Kidneys

                     The late, great Mesut İrvül.

In Ağrı, Mesut İrvül (31), who is crippled, gave up his place on the
kidney transplant list to a young girl in greater need than himself.
Someone noticed this act of kindness and gave İrvül an ATV but
İrvül died in an accident while riding the ATV.

Mesut İrvül was the fourth of six children of Fatma and İsmail İrvül,
who live in the Barış quarter of Doğubayazıt district.  At age 19,
Mesut lost the use of both of his kidneys, leaving him 92% handicapped.
Last year Mesut learned that he would get a kidney transplant but he
gave his spot on the list to a girl in more dire circumstances.

As Mesut's condition worsened he insisted that he did not regret his
decision and would make the same choice today.  Hearing this, a
well-wisher gave Mesut an ATV as a gift.  Leaving aside his crutches,
Mesut began to use the ATV but on 20 July, while making a backwards
maneuver, the vehicle turned over and Mesut hit his head on the ground.

Mesut remained in intensive care for 7 days but lost his fight for life.

             Family ties just got stronger.

In Kahramanmaraş, Saadet (12) and Mehmet (7) Gök, the children of
Hasan (37) and Sultan (30) Gök, have suffered from chronic  kidney
problems for years.  Saadet has been on dialysis for 4 years and
Mehmet's condition recently took a turn for the worse.

The couple took their children hither and yon looking for a solution
and finally found it in Antalya.  In an operation at a private hospital
there Sultan gave a kidney to her son Mehmet and Hasan gave one
to his daughter Saadet.  Doctors report that the mother and father are
doing well and that the children's conditions are improving.

Dollar Bills Too Hot to Handle Anymore

One dollar bills: a pariah is born from a coup.

Children playing on the street in Meram district of Konya city
were given 7 envelopes, each containing 1 USD, by people
driving in a car with out-of-province license plates.   Parents
of the children who saw the dollars became concerned because
some soldiers and academicians involved in the coup attempt
by followeres of Fethullah Gülen on 15 July had US dollar bills
found on them.

Reacting to the parents' notification, police located and stopped
the vehicle in question near Antalya, with occupants Yasin Ç.
and Yasemin Ç. taken into custody.  During interrogation the
couple explained that they had attended a wedding a day earlier
and the dollars were left over from the celebration. They said
that when they saw the children on the street they decided to
hand out the dollars to them for spending money.

Police checked out the couple's story and it held up. They
were released after giving statements.
