Bodrum Fairy Tale Cut Short

In Bodrum, Fatih Zencir (38), a cook, met Faiza Drid (41) of England
at the airport with flowers and candles in April, as he proposed marriage
to her. However, as the result of an argument on the Bitez shore in Bodrum,
Zencir stabbed Drid in the neck and face (!).  The young woman was
taken to Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Training and Research Hospital,
where she remains in the intensive care unit.


"Bodrum Masalı" (Bodrum Fairy Tale), set in Bitez, has had its 
share of relationship tumult this season, too.  Something in the 
water there?...

Zencir was apprehended 10 hours after the stabbing incident at a house
where he was hiding.  He explained that "after she came to Bodrum she
wouldn't leave the bars and discos.  She shamed herself and me. I was
drunk and did something in a moment of anger. I don't even know what
I did."
