Much better behaved than the typical metrobus rider, for sure.
Volunteer university students who have a project to meet the winter needs
of children in village schools in Turkey, knitted (!) on the Istanbul
metrobus for 3 hours to call attention to their cause. The students
participating in the "Yarını Aydınlat Gençlik Program" (Brighten
Tomorrow Youth Program) gathered at the Beylikdüzü metrobus station.
With their knitting needles and wool, the students boarded the metrobus
and sat in the back, knitting all the way to Söğütleçeşme and back again
to Beylikdüzü - a 3 hour trip. The students will donate the scarves, hats
and gloves they knit to needy students in villages across Turkey.
