Toilet Training on the Bosphorus

If you people didn't drink so much tea there'd be no need!
These days, people who go to the shore at Beykoz, Istanbul, are in
for a big disappointment because how can they possibly enjoy the
sea air and the view! They can't, thanks to a giant toilet that blocks
the gorgeous view.
Yes, you read it right - a public toilet. As if there were no other
place to put it, the Istanbul municipality set down this huge toilet
container at the most beautiful point on the shore. This 'Great
Wall of China'-like toilet has blocked the view of the sea.
And when viewed from the sea side, it's even worse since the toilet
blocks the view of the historic buildings of the Beykoz shore, like
the Serbostani Mustafa Ağa Mosque that dates from 1809. In short,
the toilet is an eyesore from all directions. The objections coming
in to the city's 'Complaints Hotline' can be summarized as follows:
"A toilet is a necessity, of course. But at the most beautiful spot on
the Bosphorus?! Aren't those who put this giant container on the
edge of the shore aware of how horrible a view it presents?! We
await the immediate rectification of this mistake and the removal
of this obstacle to the Bosphorus view."
Let's see whether the city authorities will agree with the local
residents about this absurd situation.
