Şeymus (Judas) Acar, the "Killing Cousin".
Yusuf Acar (26) of Istanbul disappeared 6 days ago. His relatives
said that after he left his workplace he wasn't heard from again so
they asked the police for help. Meanwhile, a body was found
buried near Belen village in Kocaeli's Körfez district and it was
identified as that of Yusuf Acar.
Acar had been shot three times. Police determined who the last
person was who was in contact with Acar. Soon afterwards, Acar's
cousin Şeymuz Acar was taken into custody and confessed to the
murder. After the cousins had shared an evening meal in Pendik,
Istanbul, Şeymuz killed Yusuf. In his statement, Şeymuz explained
that he had spent 15 months in jail for stealing fuel from a NATO
pipeline. While in jail he heard rumors that Yusuf was flirting with
his wife.
