You're in the army now!
Near the Hasdal Barracks in Istanbul, soldiers rescued a pit bull dog
that had been attacked by wild pigs (!). The dog was wounded in its
stomach and legs and was first treated at the Hasdal Barracks, before
being taken to the Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Veterinary Hospital
in Avcılar. The pooch was escorted to the hospital by 4 soldiers and
after stitches for the wounds the pit bull will return to the barracks.
Hasdal Barracks are near TT Arena in Istanbul

Catfish(ing)
In Adana, Cevahir Şimşek (22) was walking with his friend around
midnight on Kozan Avenue in Yüreği district when he heard
the sound of a kitten coming through a sewer grate. Thinking
that the kitten would be able to get itself out, Şimşek continued
on but a few hours later, worried about the kitten, he returned and
found the it still trapped in the sewer.
So worried he couldn't even take a cat nap.
Şimşek summoned the Adana municipality's CANKUR (like
the ASPCA) and a team came to cut the grate. A firefighter
wearing a glove reached into the sewer and removed the
frightened kitten, which scampered off. Şimşek explained
that "when I got home I couldn't forget the kitten's sound and
it haunted me so I couldn't sleep. I walked back here from my
home in the Atakent neighborhood at 5 o'clock in the morning."
