Russian Delilahs Seduce Samsun

     "How come they're all named Natasha?"

Officials in Samsun are pursuing efforts to lure Russian tourists
to the Black Sea city after flights between Samsun and Krasnodar
were initiated.  One of the officials, Necmi Çamaş, noted that a
month and a half ago the slogan "Samsun Awaits You" adorned
buses plying Krasnodar's busiest street and he added that "people
in Krasnodar used to go to Antalya but with this direct flight
Samsun is only 50 minutes away."


"You want I should play through?"


In connection with Samsun campaign, 8 Russian bloggers, all
of them gorgeous women, have come to scout out the city. But
their beauty has distracted from the message, making Samsun
an afterthought.  Çamaş tried to deflect such criticism, asserting
that "each of these women have more than 50,000 followers.
They attract attention because of their beauty and share photos
of the city's historic, touristic and lovely locations with their
followers.  The ad agency is covering their expenses and they'll
return home on the weekend."

Samsun's Akın Uğur noted that Samsun and Novorossiysk are
sister-cities and that health tourism is a big attraction for the
Russians.  He explained that "8 Russian bloggers came to Samsun
between 5-9 June to see the city for themselves.  They toured the
touristic sites even though the purpose of their visit is health
tourism.  These women have lots of followers.  We took care
of their expenses (!) as the Samsun municipality."
