Old habits die (!) hard.
The horrific incident occurred yesterday afternoon in Güzelyurt
village near Adıyaman city. Bekir Avcı (66) killed his first wife
and son in 1984. Avcı went to prison, got out and killed his cousin,
sending him back to prison for many more years.
After Avcı was released from prison he married Emine Ormi (61)
and they had a son named Enes. Yesterday, when gunfire was
heard coming from the home, other villagers alerted the Gendarmerie.
Emine Orki and Enes Avcı (19) were found dead, shot by Avcı, who
remains at large. Enes Avcı had been accepted into Iğdır University's
aeronautics program and was to have left for Iğdır last night.
