Twelve years ago in Trabzon, brothers Oğuzhan Akdin
and Alparslan Akdin murdered Catholic priest Andrea
Santoro of the Santa Maria church.  On Sunday night
in Bodrum, the two brothers were shot in their legs.

The murder of Father Santoro occurred on 5 February
2006 in Trabzon, after which Oğuzhan Akdin, then 16,
was sentenced to 18 years 10 months in jail.  He was
released two years ago (!) and recently settled in Bodrum.
On Sunday night in the Ortakent section of Bodrum, at
the Alikelle Forest location, the two brothers were shot
in their legs by assailants after an argument.


                Called in the hit from heaven.

Both Oğuzhan and Alparslan are in good condition,
as they recover at a private hospital.  Two suspects
were arrested in Antalya in connection with the
incident and police said the number of arrests may
increase.
