Trailblazing woman bus driver is unyielding.
In Seyhan, Adana, across from İnönü Park, an unidentified woman
driving an SUV with no license plate on the front of the vehicle,
wanted bus driver Şule Topal to yield. Due to the heavy traffic,
Topal could not yield the road, enraging the two women in the SUV
who got out of their vehicle, boarded Topal's bus and beat her up. (!)
Bus passengers intervened to save Topal, who suffered a cut lip from
the blows she received. The two women returned to their SUV as
police arrived and took them into custody. One of them, named P.M.,
shouted at reporters, screaming "show your IDs! Where do you work?!
Do you know who I am??!!" Police had a hard time calming P.M.,
who was brought to the police station along with her companion. After
giving their statements, the two women were released.
Seyhan is part of Adana city.
