Just your standard kitchen...but don't dare spill any tomato juice!
The Emir of Dubai, Muhammed bin Raşid El Maktum, has had a 3,500-
square meter, ultra-luxurious mansion built for himself in Darıca
district of Kocaeli province. The items and decorations within the
mansion are all made of 24-carat gold. At El Maktum's insistence,
preference was given to Ottoman-style trappings.

All of the furniture in the mansion is hand-made and 10 interior
decorators worked day and night for 10 months to complete the
furnishings. The external appearance of the mansion, which cost
5 million TL (about $1 million), is striking, as well.
There's nothing 23-carat about this place.
El Maktum and his wife Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, who is the
daughter of the King Abdullah of Jordan, plan to spend their summers
in Darıca.
Darıca is at the head of the Gulf of İzmit, halfway between
Istanbul and İzmit (a.k.a. Kocaeli).
