Gendarmerie Commander shows the troops how it's done.
An injured red deer was spotted by villagers on the bank of a stream
at Değirmen Bayırı in Bekdemir village of Mudurnu district, Bolu.
Alerted by the villagers, the Gendarmerie arrived on the scene and
determined that the deer had been attacked by stray dogs and was
hiding in the stream, freezing to death.
Together with members of the Bolu Nature Protection and National
Parks office, the Gendarmerie extricated the deer from the stream,
whereupon the Gendarmerie commander covered the deer with his
overcoat to comfort the freezing animal, which was then transported
to the National Parks facility in nearby Düzce.
Mudurnu is southwest of Bolu and southeast of Düzce.
