It takes 20/20 vision to even see the earring.
Mustafa Emrah Hasgül (32), who is 60% eyesight handicapped,
became a state employee 5 years ago when he passed an entry exam.
Hasgül began his government service in Istanbul. Three years ago he
was assigned to work in the courthouse in Gaziantep and 3 months
ago he was warned by his boss about the earring he wears.

Nevertheless, Hasgül continued to wear the earring and on 28 January
he was given a written warning about it. Hasgül related that he has
worn the earring for 14 years and never encountered a complaint
from anyone until now. His boss is threatening to 'exile' Hasgül
unless he stops wearing the earring (!), despite the fact that the
government has declared that there is no problem with male
employees wearing earrings.
