As the calls continue to "stay home!" during the coronavirus outbreak,
five people have died in 'family feud' street fights in Şanlıurfa, Adana
and Van.
Şanlıurfa: In Bozova district, an argument arose between the Demir
and Aslan families last night over a road issue. Yehsa Aslan (22)
was killed by a gunshot and 6 others were wounded.
Adana: Last night in the Yüreğir section of the city, two groups with
a history of enmity faced off in the street and began exchanging
fire with 'pompalı tüfek' (pump-action) rifles. Emre Özbayhan died
and three people were wounded.
Van: In the Tuşba section of Van city, yesterday in the early morning
two feuding families began fighting each other with rocks, clubs and
knives. Subsequently, gunfire erupted and 3 people died, with 8
others wounded.
