Mongolian Urination click here for more proof, if any was
needed, that Mongolia takes health issues very seriously.
Drapes were the wrong color.
Kadire Zeynep Sayım Yazal, the wife of the Turkish ambassador in
Mongolia Ahmet Yazal, returned to the capital Ulanbatur with her
son from South Korea on 28 March.
Zeynep hanım was tested for coronavirus at the Ulanbatur airport
and Mongolia's National Infectious Diseases Center Director
D. Nyamkhuu informed her that the test result was 'positive'.
Consequently, she and her son were taken to a special room for
quarantine. The room in question had been used by the Mongolian
president when he recently returned from China and was briefly
quarantined.
"If it's good enough for our President!..."
However (!), the Mongolian press has reported that Zeynep hanım
first resisted being quarantined and, then, that she didn't like the room.
Ambassador Yazal (ever the diplomat!) proposed that his wife and
son be quarantined at their home but Mongolian officials refused.
Showing a photo of the (very nice) room Zeynep hanım didn't like,
the Mongolian press commented that "it is very bad for her to have
behaved so disparagingly. Have her call a special plane from her
own country and get out of here!"
