Go home soon. Critical butcher shortage in Afghanistan.
Afghan butcher Ali Ahmedi's postings on social media under the name
"Zeytinburnu Butcher ", with pictures of himself with guns and knives,
had sparked outrage. It has come to light, though, that he was arrested
in February for "intentional wounding" and "violation of the gun law"
and is currently in prison.
After the outrage erupted over the photographs, police investigated and
identified the "Zeytinburnu Butcher" as Afghan butcher Ali Ahmedi
(20), who had been taken into custody in the Zeytinburnu section of
Istanbul on 1 February 2022 for the abovementioned crimes. He is
currently in jail in Maltepe, Istanbul.
