Kinda creepy.
Istanbul police have identified a gang that sells items that contain hidden
cameras and listening devices over the internet. The items, which are
forbidden and are brought into Turkey illegally, include wall clocks,
wrist watches, teddy bears (!), toy cars, key chains, chargers, satellite
receivers and lamps.
Police conducted raids over the weekend in Beyoğlu and Fatih at seven
separate addresses, taking seven gang members into custody. When
police looked at the gang's customer portfolio the primary buyers were
spouses tracking each other (!). The devices allow for the real-time
tracking of the target individual via a computer from afar. The items
can also be used for blackmail schemes and for observing nannies
looking after children.
A nice gift for that business rival you hate.
