This Cat's Got Class!

When students can't answer, teacher can rightly ask
"cat got your tongue?"

In Izmir, a cat named 'Tombi'  that was adopted by the students
but exiled because of a parent's complaint, has returned to the
class.  The students of grade 3-C in the Ticaret Borsası elementary
school in Bayraklı district began feeding Tombi in their class so
their teacher, Özlem Pınar İvaşçu, arranged with the school's
administration to let the cat stay in the class.

When one of the parents objected, saying that the cat could
create problems for children with allergies, İvaşçu brought
Tombi to her own home, where there were already 3 cats.
The children were heartbroken and the issue reached as high
as National Education Director Omer Yahşi, who had the
matter researched, from a health standpoint.  When no
problems arose, Tombi went back to class.
