One-Man Crime Wave Along the Black Sea Coast

        His statement to officials: "What?"

Five days ago two people were mugged in a home in Çamalan village
of Akkuş district, Ordu province.  The Gendarmerie conducted a
search at the home and workplace of Mehmet Ali Çayıroğlu, who
has a police record for animal theft., in Karaçal village.  In the course
of the search, the Gendarmerie found 23 livestock, 3 hunting rifles,
2 blank-shooting revolvers, 17 rifle bullets, 151 blanks, 4 cellphones,
230 plastic handcuffs (!), one military-style camouflage uniform, a
military cartridge belt, a hat and $400. 

It was determined that one of the animals and one of the hunting
rifles seized belonged to Şeker Köseoğlu, whose body was found
in a forested area.  Şeker Köseoğlu's son Recayi Köseoğlu confirmed
that the rifle and the animal had belonged to his mother.  It was also
determined that a cellphone and a blank-shooting revolver found in
the home belonged to the couple Senai Türedi and Ümit Türedi, who
died by poisoning. 

The Gendarmerie  began an investigation into whether or not the
Türedi couple were murder victims. They determined that Mehmet
Ali Çayıroğlu had a connection with the deaths of Nuri and Lütfiye
Usluoğlu, whose house burned down.  The Gendarmerie also looked
into a fire which occurred on the night of 22 July in Akkuş district's
Ortabölme village, in which Sabri Güneş (68), his son Hasan (53)
and his bride Zahide Güneş (59) were burned to death, but as yet
no connection to Çayıroğlu has been found.

Çayıroğlu was jailed and his partner in a market in Samsun was
also taken into custody.  Upon learning that Çayıroğlu was
involved in animal trading in Samsun and Tokat, the
Gendarmerie began an investigation into whether or not Çayıroğlu
may have been involved in suspicious deaths in those two cities.
