Ready to pave the way for an Erdoğan-Trump summit -
'Twisted Turkish Coffee Diplomacy'.
The current tensions between Turkey and the USA have coincided
with the visit to Turkey of Dee Snider, the famous metal music
soloist of the group Twisted Sister. In a tweet, Snider said that
"Istanbul is a fabulous city. As you know, America told us to avoid
going to Turkey. There are just a few Americans here but don't act
based on America's fears because the media generally exaggerate
these things. We haven't felt a gram's worth of enmity while we've
been here."
The new diplomatic corps.
Snider sipped Turkish coffee at the Mısır Market in Istanbul and
commented that "this coffee is as sturdy as metal." He added that
"I'll put out an album soon. Then we'll come here and tear the
house down." Reacting to a recommendation made by horror film
actor Bill Moseley to "tour Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet Mosque and
Topkapı Palace", Snider said "I visited them all. What a big city!"
Well, they got the group's name right.
