With his chiseled good looks Mehmet Y. could have
challenged Richard Gere.
Ready-made clothing worker Mehmet Y. (29) got in touch
with an internete site for a job as an 'escort' (gigolo). The
individuals who hoodwinked Mehmet Y. into giving them a
500 TL entry fee, claimed that he hadn't deposited the money
so they ended up getting 7,100 TL from him.
When he didn't get any 'jobs' (!), Mehmet Y. realized he has
been scammed he sought relief with the Bakırköy, Istanbul,
public prosecutor. Mehmet Y., the married father of two
children (!), explained that "after I deposited the money,
the number I called was shut down and never opened again.
I realized I had been bamboozled. I have filed a complaint
against the people who scammed me."
In the end, Mehmet Y. at least got a t-shirt to show
his kids.
