Reluctant dad poses with possible offspring.
Kasım Pırlant, a wealthy businessman who lives in Izmir,
began his career in Chicago in 1973 working as a waiter at
a nightclub. Subsequently, Pırlant bought a restaurant in
Chicago and got into real estate, eventually owning 9
shopping centers. He returned from America to settle in
Izmir in 2005.
Now, siblings Henry (30) and Candice Jackson (36) have
come to Izmir from America and they are preparing to
file a paternity suit against Pırlant, claiming that he is
their father. After the siblings' mother Carolyn Jackson
died in 1999, they began their quest to learn their real
father's identity.
The clincher: they both like the taste of ayran.
In their research, the Jackson siblings learned that their
mother had worked at the same nightclub as Pırlant and
workers there told them that "your mother and Kasım
Pırlant had a relationship while working here and you
were the result of it." The siblings tracked Pırlant down
in Izmir by researching him on the internet.
The Jackson siblings have met with Pırlant in Izmir but
he has denied being their father. Candice recalled that
"I remember my father a bit. When I was little I
remember him saying 'I'm going to the store to buy food',
but he never came back. We have no money problems.
We both have families and jobs. But we want to know
about our father. That's why we want a DNA test."
As for Kevin, he stated that "I resemble my father, not my
mother. Look at our faces - I'm like Kasım Pırlant's twin.
The truth will emerge from a DNA test."
Hmmmm...
