               What woman wouldn't want a spare hubby?

C.G. and A.Ö. both live in a village in Malatya province.  Unbeknownst
to one another, the two youths met Ö.G., who lives in Gaziantep, online.
Separately, the two men decided to marry Ö.G. and each of them went
to Gaziantep to meet her family and get engaged (!) one week apart. 

The wedding dates were set and when C.G. and A.Ö. returned to
Malatya they gave each other wedding invitations.  But when they
saw that the girl and her family were the same they realized they had
both been hoodwinked.

The two men went to Gaziantep together and filed a complaint
against Ö.G. and her family, who had made off with 'bride prices'
of 50,000 TL and 85,000 TL from C.G. and A.Ö., respectively.
Police arrested Ö.G. and her friend M.Y.  Another suspect, H.P.,
was released under judicial supervision since she had given birth
to a baby 2 days before. (!)


               Malatya is northeast of Gaziantep.
