In Osmaniye, in preparation for his wedding day, Muhammet Emen
bought a 1978-model car for 3,500 TL (about $650), split it in two
and stretched the middle in order to make it look like a limousine.
But as Emen was taking his creation to have it dolled up for the
wedding the police intercepted him and told him he could not use
the vehicle in traffic in that condition.
Undeterred, Emen hired a car-carrier and put his limo on it, with
his bride inside (!), and went off to the wedding hall. Emen
explained that "hiring a limo was too expensive so I thought I'd
make one myself."
