          Perhaps the only way to neutralize road-ragers...

In Ankara, thousands of cars and motorcycles parked in a seizure lot
in Etimuesgut district, because of unpaid traffic fines or sequestration
orders against their owners, have begun to decay.  Some of the
vehicles have been in the lot for years.


                                  ...take their toys away.

Included among the seized vehicles are some luxury cars worth
500,000 TL (about $85,000), ambulances (!), TIR (tractor-trailers),
buses, trucks and motorcycles.  The parking lot's manager Aziz Öner
explained that "this is a 4-acre lot. There are 4,300 cars and nearly
1,000 motorcyles here.  Every day another 100 vechicles come in
but on average only about 10 leave.  There are two buses here, one
of which is worth 2 million TL."
