VIP health care reserved exclusively for royalty and mafia
chieftans.
İgor K., a member of the Skaljari mafia in Montenegro, was shot while
in his car at a railroad crossing in the capital Podgorica on 28 January.
Out of the 25 shots fired, 7 hit İgor K. On 7 February, an air-ambulance
took İgor K. to the Hannover Medical Faculty Hospital in Germany for
treatment and an operation.
However (!), word leaked out about İgor K.'s mafia links a day later so
Hannover police put a special force around the hospital, in light of the
fact that the Skaljari mafia and its rival, at odds since 2014 for control
of the drug trafficking trade, had killed about 40 members of each
other's groups in mutual retribution.
Warning: Handle With Care!
The cost of the Hannover police protection for the mafia chieftan,
though, caused an outcry in Germany, rising to 1.5 million Euros over
two weeks. Consequently, the Lower Saxony Interior Ministry ordered
İgor K. expelled from Germany and on Friday he was taken by a German
police helicopter to the Hannover airport, where he boarded a Hawker
Beechcraft 400 XP air-ambulance (tail number TC-KJA) for the trip to
Istanbul.
It is not known, though, whether İgor K.'s continued medical treatment
will be in Istanbul or at some other hospital in Turkey. In any case, the
German press is hot on his trail. (!)
