Bıyıkoğlu scrutinizes competitors for manners, not wins.
(Hürriyet Newspaper, 9 December 2017)
In Tekirdağ's Malkara district, the traditional Evren Kahve Tavla
(backgammon) Tournament's most gentlemanly competitor will
win a tombstone (!). There will be a number of gifts offered by
the sponsors of this 9th running of the tournament but the most
noteable for sure is the tombstone.
Şenol Bıyıklıoğlu (52), the owner of a marble stone firm, explained
that "I've been in the marble business, left to me by my father, for
40 years. We've undertaken a lot of projects in the district and will
continue to do so. The tombstone will be a lasting memento (to say
the least!) for the winner"
