Practices on rivals' heads to keep his average up.
Although there are no baseball clubs or even fields in Adana, there is
a great interest in baseball bats (!). The bats, which sell for 5 TL (about
$1.25) and up, are generating great interest at sports equipment stores
in the city, particularly among youths inclined toward violence and
vehicle drivers. Shop keepers in the Amerikan Market in Seyhan say
that drivers of all sorts of vehicles want the bats handy for traffic
arguments (!).
