Caner D. in rock-throwing mode under the ABA sign.

Medics went to a home in the Elmalı neighborhood of Muratpaşa,
Antalya, at 0330 hours in response to a report of someone suffering
chest pains.  The medics took patient Caner D. by the arms and brought
him to the ambulance, asking that he lie on the stretcher there.  But
Caner D. cursed at and threatened the medics when they told him he
was lying on the stretcher incorrectly.

Caner D. demanded another ambulance and medical team so he was
taken out of the ambulance but continued cursing and then attacked
medical technician Musa Özbay.  To ward off Caner D.'s attack, Özbay
pushed him, prompting Caner D. to grab a rock and knock Özbay to
the ground and kick him.

Meanwhile, the other two medics locked themselves in the ambulance
in fear of Caner D., who threw the rock at the ambulance, breaking its
window and causing body dents.  The attack was captured on a store's
security camera.  Caner D. fled but was captured and jailed.

Ambulances need a police escort anymore.

Yesterday in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Elazığ, construction
worker Naim Demir (42) fell from the scaffolding.  When an ambulance
arrived later than expected, Demir's fellow workers attacked the medics,
who, ergo, were unable to treat the seriously injured Demir (!).

Ultimately, some citizens stepped in to help the medics get Demir into
the ambulance but despite all efforts at Fırat University Hospital, Demir
could not be saved.  After an autopsy, the body of Demir, the father of
four children, will be buried Genç district of Bingöl province.
