The builder of the Ölçer apartment building that collapsed during the
recent flooding in Bozkurt district of Kastamonu province, Mehmet Ö.,
has been taken into custody in Esenyurt, Istanbul.  In an effort to avoid
capture, Mehmet Ö. had changed both his clothes and the bag he carries.

In the scope of an investigation into the building collapse carried out by
the İnebolu, Kastamonu, public prosecutor, it was learned that Mehmet Ö.
was in Istanbul.  When he heard that another builder of a collapsed
building had been arrested in Kastamonu, Mehmet Ö. fled his home in
Sarıyer, Istanbul.

Leaving his own car in front of his house, Mehmet Ö. borrowed a friend's
car, went to the office of a relative in Kağıthane, Istanbul, and spent the
night there.  The next day, when he learned that police had come to his
Sarıyer home, Mehmet Ö. changed his clothes and his handbag, called
a taxi and went to Esenyurt, where he was finally arrested. After
processing, Mehmet Ö. will be sent to Kastamonu.
