Her past came back to haunt her.

In January 2005, some citizens were horrified to find a body on the
banks of Alibeyköy stream in Istanbul's Sultangazi district.  The naked
male's body was hogtied but at that time it was not possible to determine
the victim's identity.

However (!), on 20 July 2005, Eyüp Söner went to the police station in
Beyoğlu district and confessed that he and Rasime Bozgüt, the owner
of a house of prostitution, had committed the murder.  According to his
account, İsmail Büyük had come drunk to Rasime's "house" one day as
a customer.  When Büyük passed out, he was hogtied and his telephone,
money and bank card taken from him. Büyük's naked body was taken
in a taxi (!) and dumped by the stream.

Police were well-acquainted with Resime hanım because for a while
she had run a "house" in Karaköy district, as well.  Both she and Söner
were tried, convicted and put in jail.  Because of the COVID pandemic,
though, Rasime was released on 21 June 2020 and now 61 years old
she returned to Beyoğlu, changing her name to Aysel Bozkurt but
resuming her life as a prostitute.

One of her new "customers" was Mehmet Solmaz, a recidivist criminal.
On 4 June 2022, Solmaz  brought K.K. and E.K., both under the age of
18, to Aysel's "house", with the intent of robbing her.  When Aysel hanım
resisted they hogtied her (!), stole her telephone and money and fled.
Aysel hanım's friend Beren B., along with Nevzat Ş. and Atabey Nedim
A., who were living in the same building as Aysel hanım, entered her
"house" and found her lifeless hogtied body.

When police arrived at the scene they noticed Solmaz on the street acting
suspiciously so they searched him and found Aysel hanım's telephone on
his person.  Solmaz confessed to the murder and gave up K.K. and E.K.,
too.  The day before yesterday Solmaz was convicted of the murder and
sentenced to life in prison. K.K. and E.K. received 30-year sentences.

It could have been worse...
