(Sabah Newspaper, 13 October 2014)

'Tacizci' 16 yıl sonra 'şifacı' olarak geri döndü
Instead of  ballplayers, boyhood idols - Svengali and Rasputin.

Ramazan Durak, in the guise of a religious man, introduced
himself  to F.B. at the Eyub Sultan tomb as a healer. F.B.
explained to Durak that her 16 year-old daughter was
continuously experiencing headaches. In response, Durak
fooled F.B. by claiming  that "I can heal her" and stayed in
F.B.'s house for 40 days, acquiring the woman's gold and
bank money in the process. Durak even got F.B. to sign
over her 400,000 TL ($200,000)-valued house as "payment
for treatment."

After some time, when her daughter's situation did not improve,
F.B. became suspicious and searched the internet for news
about Durak, ultimately realizing that she had been duped.
Based on F.B.'s complaint, Durak was arrested for 'sexual
harassment', 'fraud', 'wrongful seizure' and 'falsification'.
Durak was found to have 12 outstanding warrants against him
and the 115,000 TL he was carrying was seized.

     Even then they knew...

It turned out that Durak had first been in the news in 1998 when
he was involved in a sexual harassment scandal in Malatya.
In that case, Durak promised unsuccessful students that he could
get them through their classes by writing charms for them but
instead he brought the children to his home and sexually
harassed them.

After spending two years in jail, Durak was released and last
year he convinced a woman in Corum named H.K. that he had
special powers. Durak promised to marry H.K. and invited her
to Malatya, after which he bilked H.K. of 650 TL ($325).

action video short on tae kwon do but long on E-room chaos.

Saldırıya uğrayan doktor tekvando yapıp kurtuldu
Mild-mannered Dr. Bilgili actually a SuperHero!

A doctor working in the emergency room at Dursun Odabas
Medical Center of Yuzuncu Yil University in Van was attacked
by the relatives of a patient but thanks to his tae kwon do training
he was able to defend himself. The action was captured on the
hospital's security camera.

When patient I.G. passed away his relatives began arguing with
hospital staff at the intensive care unit for chest ailments. The
relatives then headed for the emergency room where they
attacked Dr. Mehmet Ali Bilgili.  One of them leapt up on the
counter and tried to kick Dr. Bilgili, who was working at the
computer there. Bilgili, who is a tae kwon do enthusiast, grabbed
the attacker's foot and brought him down. Bilgili took on and
bested another 4 of the enraged relatives.

In the video, police and hospital staffers are seen trying to
move the relatives out of the emergency room. As for Bilgili,
he filed a police complaint against the relatives and noted that
attacks on hospital staff have become so commonplace that
the public is now  inured to them.  He added that "I was working
as usual on Saturday when, I later learned, a patient in intensive
care died and after arguing with the doctor and nurses there
the relatives attacked me.  Thank God I wan't injured. As
health providers we don't want to see anyone harmed. I hope
we don't see any more of these incidents."

Vampire Grave Unearthed In Bulgaria

(Sabah Newspaper, 13 October 2014)

Got the traditional 'stake-through-the-heart' treatment.

Prof. Nikolai Ovcharov, who has dedicated his life to exposing
the secrets of antique civilizations  and who has earned the
moniker 'Bulgaria's Indian Jones',  has found a 'vampire
grave' at Perperikon, which was discovered 20 years ago in
the south of the country.

Perperikon dates back to 5,000 years B.C.  The findings unearthed
on Thursday are believed to be from the 13 century A.D.  The
famous archeologist stated that the most arresting detail of the
skeleton found in the grave is a metal object - a stake - in the
skeleton's chest.  Prof. Ovcharov explained that this stake was
used to prevent the dead from rising from the grave and causing
harm to living persons.

Prof. Ovcharov went on to say that "practices such as this could
be used for those who lost their live by unusual means, like
suicide."  He added that they guessed that the skeleton belonged
to a person aged about 40 or 50. The stake thrust into the chest
was a piece of a horse cart axle.

This 'vampire grave' very much resembles others found in Sozopol,
200 miles east of Perperikon. Bozhidar Dimitrov, the head
of the National History Museum in Sofia  stated that over 100
skeletons belonging to people believed to have been vampires
have been unearthed in Bulgaria.

Perperikon is near Kharzhali in the extreme south of Bulgaria.

Adana's Kozan district.  Someone who saw a person lying
