Noah's4km-long ark see recent TNT reporting about Noah's Ark

that I can sell you..."

The Great Flood related to Noah was the subject Pelin Çift's "Öteki Gündem"
(The Other Agenda) program on TRT.  The program's guests were
Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Harman, an expert on religious history from İbn
Haldun University, and Dr. Yavuz Örnek of İstanbul University's Maritime
Sciences Faculty.  It was Örnek's statements that were the focus of the
program, as his claims amazed even Dr. Harman. 


Of course, in those days things were scaled-up a bit.

Örnek claimed that during Noah's time there was technology available
that was even more advanced than our current technology and he asserted
that as a scientist he could prove this.   Örnek insisted that Noah has spoken
will his son on a cellphone (!) during the flood to convince his son that the
calamity was happening.  Additionally, Örnek claimed that Noah had built
a  ship 10,000 years ago with steel plates that could withstand 400-meter
waves (!) and that this ship used nuclear energy (!!).

Although Örnek stated that all his claims were based on scientific sources,
when challenged he had difficulty responding.  Örnek went on to claim
that Noah's son used a flying saucer and that Jesus was born 2,300 years ago,
not 2,000 years ago.  He added that Noah's Great Flood encompassed
the entire world and not just the region Noah was in.  Also, Noah did not
bring live animals onto his ark, but rather he ordered fertilized male and
female eggs, which were sent to him from the America and France of that
time (!!!). 


No! He got all their eggs on Amazon.com!

Örnek insisted that "I am a scientist and speak on behalf of science."  He
claimed, as well, that after the Great Flood it was not a dove that was sent
from the ark, but rather a unmanned drone (!!!!).  Örnek's claims were the
subject of ridicule during the night on social media, with his professorship
called into question and musings about what he tells his students.


When asked to comment on Örnek's claims, Noah was 
uncharacteristically silent...

Ottoman Island's Return to Turkey Sparks Sudan-Egypt Tension

In late December, during President Erdoğan's visit to Khartoum,
Sudanese President Ömer El Beşir assigned Sevakin Island, which
was once a strategic Ottoman base on the Red Sea, to Turkey, and
this has sparked tension between Egypt and Sudan.  When media
outlets in Egypt that back President Abdülfettah el Sisi began to
target Sudan on this matter, Khartoum recalled its ambassador in
Cairo to reassess relations.

Although the Sudanese Foreign Ministry did not explain the reason
behind the ambassador's recall, it is thought that the diplomatic
tension has been caused by the assignment of Sevakin Island to
Turkey.  Egyptian media has claimed that Qatar is behind the
Sevakin Island project and that during Erdoğan's visit to Khartoum
the Qatar Chief of Staff was there, too. 





Following Erdoğan's visit, the head of the press relations in Sudan's
embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, El-Mutez Ahmed İbrahim, issued
an announcement relating to the agreement between Sudan and
Turkey to rebuild Sevakin Island's port, saying that the agreement
did not threaten the security of Arab countries, nor was there any
relationship to the ongoing Halayib and Şelatin matter (bilateral
dispute about the two countries' Red Sea border area).  Nevertheless,
last week, Egypt's Religious Affair Minister participated in Friday
prayers in Halayib and the event was carried live on TV.

Elaborate Ruse by Folk Dancers to Flee Turkey

No big deal, just plain old-fashioned people-smuggling for money.

HaberTürk has obtained all the details related to the folk dancers who
fled to Hungary, supposedly for a competition.  Even the invitation
from Hungary was fake.  The invitation was given to the Turkish Folk
Dancing Federation by suspect Y.Ş., and Haydar B., a current official
with the Federation, prepared all the fake documents for the trip and
forged the signatures of approving managers.

It has been determined that suspects K.T. and L.İ. assisted Haydar B.
and that after the fake paperwork was prepared, suspects Y.K., M.K.
and Y.Ş. shepherded the 13 folk dancers through the Dereköy border
crossing at Kırklareli on the Bulgarian border.  Y.K. and M.K. arranged
for helpers to get the dancers across the border and Y.Ş. handled the
phony invitation. Based on the police investigation, Y.K., M.K., K.T.
and L.İ. have been taken into custody and Haydar B. surrendered to
the public prosecutor on 2 January.

According to the investigation, Haydar B. and his team promised to
get youths from Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Muş and Izmir out of
the country for between 5-6,000 Euros apiece.  13 people paid the
money and were taken across the border, whereas 3 who did not
were left behind and the prosecutor has asked them for information.

The supposed folk dancing competition in Hungary was bogus, as
well. The fake invitation said the competition would be held between
5-10 November so the convoy with those fleeing the country crossed
the border on 1 November.  The vehicle rented by M.K. for the trip
was arranged for on a one-way basis and M.K. said in his statement
to police that "we went as far as Munich and there some people came
and took over the convoy from us." He also said, though, that "some
of the youths disappeared in various cities in Hungary."

Police declared that the incident was human trafficking for profit
and that there was no connection with any terrorist organization.
However, security officials noted that FETÖ (Fethullah Gülen
Terror Organization) was using the incident as propaganda,
declaring that "See, we're still strong and everyone is fleeing the
country."


Nevertheless, Gülen was spotted looking out the window
from his Budapest hotel on the dates in question...hmmmm.

All he wanted was a romantic orange grove picnic with 
recalcitrant fiancé...

The savagery occurred in Çiçekli village in Adana's Sarıçam district the
day before yesterday.  Early in the morning, farm workers found a lifeless
body in a pool of blood on the roadside and called police.  Arriving at
the scene, police found that taxi driver Yaşar Ozgan (60) had had his
throat slashed and had been stabbed 15 times.  50 meters away in a orange
grove, police found a bloody backpack and set out to find the killer.

Using helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs, police nabbed the suspect in
the orange grove, along with the murder weapon.  He was identified as
security guard (!) Fuat Demirdelen, whose actual intended victim was his
fiancé Nurten A. and her family.  Demirdelen said that he argued with
Nadir A., the manager of the apartment where Demirdelen worked for
2 years, over a late deposit of his health insurance money.  Enraged,
Demirdelen came up with the following plan:


He had prepared a nice picnic blanket for the orange grove, too.

"I planned to kidnap my fiancé Nurten A.  In the morning, because of
the argument with the manager I poured gas on his car and wanted to set
it on fire but some other cars were damaged instead.  So I took the
manager's car to go to Nurten A.'s house but had an accident, so I fled."
Demirdelen admitted that if Nurten A. did not accept his proposal he
was going to kill her and her family, using the array of weapons in his
backpack.

Continuing, Demirdelen explained that "I got into a taxi.  In the 4th
taxi I rode in, driven by Yaşar Özgan, I said to him 'let's get some
breakfast together.'  I wanted his telephone and vehicle. We argued
and I slit his throat."
 

Sarıçam district is one of Adana city's five districts.

              With friends like these...love hurts.

In Ankara, Engin T. introduced his fellow-worker at a cleaning firm,
and long-time friend N.G., to a woman.  Engin T., who was setting
up N.G.  (!), told N.G. that the woman had divorced her husband
but he set up a camera in the house where N.G. and the woman had
sex.  Then, Engin T. told N.G. that "the woman is still married! If
her husband finds out we're finished.  She wants money from us and
she has video of you two together."

When it was learned that Engin T.'s partner in crime Hatun B. had
arranged for the woman to get together with N.G., the woman
disappeared after her tryst with N.G.  When this happened, Hatun
B. pretended to be the woman and threatened N.G. during phone
conversations, saying "if my husband finds out he'll kill us both.
We have to destroy the video of us together."  In this way, Engin T.
and Hatun B. continued to blackmail N.G.

After a while, though, N.G. became suspicious and refused to pay
any more money.  He went to the police and told them he had lost
52,000 TL (about $12,500) to Engin T. and Hatun B.  Police picked
up the suspects and took them to jail.

"İmam Weinsteinoğlu" Impregnated His Niece

Well, they say a girl can't resist a man in uniform...

Last summer a 23-year-old woman in Erzurum called police and said
that her uncle, İmam A.I., had raped her.  The woman explained that
"my uncle raped me and made me pregnant.  He threatened me so I
didn't tell anyone that he'd raped me.  On 9 May 2017 I gave birth to
his baby in another city and left the child at an orphanage.  After he
raped me, my uncle said 'I'll kill you if you tell anyone what happened.
In any case, I'm an imam so they won't believe you.'"

When the young woman alerted police, A.İ. resigned from his imam
duties and disappeared.  However, on 11 August he was captured in
Elazığ and jailed.  A DNA test proved that A.I. is the father of his
niece's child.  The case is now in court and A.I., the married father of
two children, provided this shameful defense:

"I don't accept the rape charge.  My niece and I have had a romantic
relationship since 2014.  She is forever touching me and sending me
messages to excite me. A few times we had relations willingly.  In
fact, my mother and older sister were in the room once when we made
love (!).  When I learned she was pregnant I told her to get an
abortion but she said that her pregnancy was past three months so an
abortion was forbidden.  I said I knew someone in Kars who could
do the job and I met with my niece to have the abortion but she
refused.  Two people who were going to help me, instead began to
threaten me and ask me for money."

However, the young woman's lawyer, Ahmet Haluk Terzioğlu, told
the court that "the suspect's defense in full of fantasy. For them to
have sex in a village, with family members in the same room, defies
logic.  When the accused was posted in Pülümür district of Tunceli
province he sexually harassed the 'müezzin' (prayer caller)'s wife so
he was bundled off to  Malazgirt district in Muş province.  I request
that the suspect's previous behavior be taken into consideration."
