Serap Demir (24), who lives in Erzurum and suffers from
acromegaly disease (excessive growth), was kicked out
of her home by her step-father because she is taller than
two meters (6' 5"). She currently lives in a hospital and
has requested help from officials.

Demir, originally from Adıyaman, has asked officials
to help her find a house to live in. Her real father is
currently in jail. Turkish officials, however, claim that
Demir has not accepted an invitation to live in
government housing, nor has she agreed to treatment
at hospitals in Erzurum.,
