Two suspects who used a recreational vehicle (RV) for drug-
related activities—reminiscent of the series "Breaking Bad"—
were apprehended and subsequently arrested in an operation.
Inside the RV and a residence, authorities seized materials
used by the suspects for drug manufacturing, along with
213 kilograms of synthetic drugs.
The Istanbul Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch continues
its efforts to prevent the manufacture and trafficking of narcotic
or stimulant substances. Acting on suspicion, police teams
began tracking two individuals who were seen exiting a foreign-
licensed camper van—parked on a street in the Şişli district—
carrying bags.
During searches conducted at the addresses, a total of 213
kilograms of synthetic drugs—consisting of 162 kilograms in
liquid form and 51 kilograms in solid, crystallized form—
were seized. Materials used by the suspects in the production
of these drugs were also discovered in the caravan and the house.

The teams discovered liquid synthetic narcotics stored in three
separate compartments hidden beneath the camper van and
continued their surveillance. Following approximately 15 days
of technical and physical monitoring, investigators determined
that the suspects had rented a house two streets away from where
the camper van was parked. It was established that the liquid
narcotics, processed inside the camper van, were being converted
into a solid form at this house before being distributed to the
market. In an operation conducted by the teams on October 13
at the identified locations, two foreign nationals were apprehended.
Following processing at the police station, the suspects were
referred to the courthouse, where they were subsequently
arrested by the presiding magistrate.
