Three years ago in Sarıyer, Istanbul, Yusuf Işık was shot and his body
burned at a junkyard.  Now, the court has rendered its decision on the
suspects.

On 20 April 2018, Işık was shot and his body burned.  Police determined
that eight people planned and carried out the murder, including Fırat
Çetinkaya and Ceyhan Çetinkaya, the nephews of Urfi Çetinkaya, who
had been after Işık for 16 years. (!)  The killers' motive was that Işık
had swindled Çetinkaya's aunts out of $51,000.

The Istanbul Serious Crimes Court, implementing the "good behavior"
provision for sentencing, decided that Fırat Çetinkaya, İsmail Kanyılmaz
and Süleyman Sevük  will get life plus 3 years, 4 months each for
premeditated murder and kidnapping.  In addition, Fırat Çetinkaya and
Sevük got 10-month jail sentences for having unlicensed guns. Sabri
Seba and Senem Cirit were sentenced to 1-year, 8-month jail terms for
aiding in the kidnapping of Işık, and Bilal Tazan, Samet Arslan and
Ceyhan Çetinkaya each got 3-year, 4-month sentences for kidnapping.
