Thief's Stolen Goods Went to Istanbul by Cargo While He Flew There, Until He Didn't

An ingenious plan. If only he'd used his powers for good...

Police received a report about electronic gear being stolen from two

stores in a shopping center in Kahramanmaraş.  After checking security

camera video, police determined that the thief in both incidents was the

same person - Yavuz Ş., who had been in prison in Yozgat for theft and

fraud, having been released on leave last May. 

Yavuz Ş. had also robbed stores in shopping centers in Kırklareli and 

Malatya.  He then sent the stolen goods by cargo to Istanbul and caught

a flight there himself. (!) This time, police went to the Kahramanmaraş

airport but the flight to Istanbul had already departed.  The passenger list 

showed that Yavuz Ş. had purchased a ticket for the flight but did not 

board.  

Instead, Yavuz Ş. had taken an Istanbul-bound bus but was captured on 

the way in Pınarbaşı, Kayseri province, and taken into custody.  He was 

brought back to Kahramanmaraş and it turned out that he had missed 

the flight from there to Istanbul. Yavuz Ş. is now back in jail.
