Be careful what you wish for...
Necla Özmen (55), who lives in Ankara, filed a paternity suit claiming
that her biological father is US President Donald John Trump (!).
The court dismissed the case, stating that the claim was not based on
concrete evidence. Necla hanım said that she appealed the decision.
Necla hanım filed a paternity suit on September 25th at the Ankara
27th Family Court, claiming that her biological father is US President
Donald John Trump. In her petition, Özmen stated that she was born in
1970 and is registered in the population registry as the child of Satı
and Dursun Özmen. She further stated that Dursun Özmen passed
away in 2019, and that Satı Özmen, who raised her, told her the truth
in 2017.
Necla hanım claims that Satı Özmen told her that she gave birth to a
stillborn baby in the hospital, and that Sophia, who gave birth at the
same time and claimed to be pregnant with Trump's child as a result of
an illicit relationship, gave the baby to her. Necla hanım requested a
DNA test to determine her paternity.
Mom?
The court, in its decision dated October 10, dismissed the case. The
ruling stated that the plaintiff had claimed to be Trump's daughter
without providing any concrete evidence in the lawsuit. It noted that
the lawsuit was inappropriate, that the deficiency was substantive
rather than procedural, and that the court could not grant time to
remedy this deficiency. The court dismissed the case on the grounds
that a trial cannot be conducted based on facts and evidence that are
not properly presented and relied upon.
Speaking to DHA news agency, Necla hanım said that she has
appealed the decision and has also sent petitions to the US Embassy
and courts in the US. She said, "A US citizen named Sophia gave birth
to me and then abandoned me. I think they met there because my
father was working at NATO. My adoptive mother Satı said, 'Your
father knows more details.' But I couldn't ask him because he had
passed away."
"In 2017, when I saw Trump on the news, my adoptive mother said
'This is your father.' My biological mother showed her a picture when
she handed me over. She told my adoptive mother who my father was
and provided his information. That's how I know. I don't know how
accurate it is. I want to find out if he is my father. I don't want to
cause him any trouble, knowingly or unknowingly. I just want to know
if he is my father. I would like him to talk to me. I can prove he is my
father with a DNA test, if he agrees."
Necla Özmen said she wanted to meet with Trump, adding, "I believe
he is a good father. I believe he will not turn me down." (!)
