Police think the car was settling a grudge against its master.
Savaş D. (48), who got into his car in Kağıthane, fell out of the
driver's seat while reversing. As he was trying to understand what was
happening, the driverless car (!) came towards him again. Savaş D.,
who was trapped between the wall and the car, was injured, and
2 cars and an electrical panel were damaged in the accident.
Speaking about the incident, shopkeeper Sedat Polat (36) said, "If we
put this in a Turkish film, it would fit right in. This is the first time
something like this has happened live in Turkey. What does it mean for
a person to be trapped under their own car!?"
Collateral damage to an innocent bystander.
