Suspect didn't know the English meaning.
Police raided an apartment following a tip about drugs, and after
overhearing a conversation between the fugitives (!), they also raided
the adjacent apartment. In total, 5 fugitives wanted for a total of
78 years of imprisonment were apprehended in the two apartments,
and a large quantity of drugs and weapons were seized.
The incident occurred on Thursday, July 9th, around 11:00 PM in the
Bağcılar neighborhood. According to the information received, Bağcılar
Public Security Bureau teams launched an operation after receiving a
tip that drugs were present in the house and that wanted individuals
were hiding there.
Police officers who went to one of two adjacent apartments apprehended
three convicts with finalized prison sentences. Overhearing the arrested
convicts talking amongst themselves, asking "Did they arrest the ones in
the next apartment too?" (!), the officers decided to check the neighboring
apartment. During this check, two more convicts with finalized prison
sentences were apprehended.

The arrested convicts were identified as Nurullah D. (25), Veysel T. (39),
Emre B. (28), Serkan K. (26) and Süleyman A. (26). It was determined
that Nurullah D. had 3 criminal records and was wanted for 17 years and
11 days of finalized imprisonment for the crimes of 'Intentional killing
of a child' and 'Escape of a convict or detainee'. It was determined that
Veysel T. had 2 previous criminal records with the police and was
wanted for 16 years of finalized imprisonment for the crime of
'Trafficking or supplying narcotic or stimulant substances'.
It was learned that Emre B. has 15 criminal records with the police
and is wanted for "theft of property kept inside a building" and "escape
of a convicted or detained person," with a finalized prison sentence of
23 years, 4 months, and 15 days from various courts.
As for Serkan K., he has 11 criminal records and is wanted for "armed
robbery by multiple persons" and "escape of a convicted or detained
person," with a finalized prison sentence of 20 years, 3 months, and
3 days. Süleyman A., who was also apprehended, has 12 criminal
records and is wanted for "purchasing or carrying unlicensed
weapons and ammunition," with a finalized prison sentence of
1 year and 8 months.
The guys next door...
During the operation, 13 grams of drug raw material, 34 grams of
liquid drug raw material, 5 pieces of napkins impregnated with drug
raw material for a total of 1,480 doses, 14.60 grams and 1.4 grams
of drugs believed to be cocaine, 1 unlicensed pistol, 14 bullets and
8 mobile phones were seized. During the interrogation of Ramazan Y.
(22), who was found in the house, no arrest warrant was found
against him. Ramazan Y., who was learned to have 3 criminal records
with the police, was taken to the police station for further proceedings.
