Birdal bey certainly looks the part.

On 1 March 2022 in a village in Arpaçay district of Kars province, 11th
grade high school student Azra E. (18) shot dead Birdal Doğan (40), who
was watering his animals at a fountain in the village square, with her
father's unlicensed revolver.  For the past three years, Doğan had been
sexually harassing Azra.

In the related court hearing on 25 April, Azra was initially sentenced to
life in jail but this term was reduced to 8 years/4 months because of
"incitement" and her "good behavior".  The decision was approved by
the Erzurum Regional Court but Azra's lawyer Sinan Erdağı appealed to
the higher "Yargıtay" court, upon which the "Yargıtay"'s prosecutor
found the sentence to be excessive and asked the 1st Criminal
Department to void the sentence.

Erdağı explained that "We think that the Yargıtay's 1st Criminal
Department will at least conform with the prosecutor's request and
reduce the sentence because the fear and grief engendered by this
harassment, which began when Azra was 14 years old, is many times
more distressing for a child than for an adult."

"It would take the Gendarmerie at least an hour to reach the village
in Arpaçay district so Azra, afraid that her name would be besmirched
by this harassment becoming common gossip, and engulfed by fear of
a further attack, took it upon herself to act in this way.  We expect the
Turkish court to issue a decision that will serve as an example in such
cases."
