The definition of "senseless".
In Kartal, Istanbul, UK citizen Katie Erorbay, an English teacher at an
elementary school in the Orhantepe neighborhood, left the school the day
before yesterday at about three-thirty in the afternoon and got into her car.
Just then, a taxi driven by Mustaf Gülter pulled alongside Erorbay's
vehicle and he tried to forcibly get her out of her car.
Erorbay resisted and in the ensuing argument Gülter shot her dead (!).
He then tried unsuccessfully to kill himself and was taken to a hospital.
Erorbay was the mother of one child and married to Hakan Erorbay.
Gülter was infatuated with her and frequently came to the front of the
school to harass her. A colleague at the school noted that "we didn't
let the children know about the incident. There are very young ones
here."
