Life in the wild: "Wolf" snaring "Lightning".

On 17 January, Ali Osman Kurt (30, whose surname means "wolf"),
who runs a tea house in Güneysınır district of Konya province, argued
with colleague Yıldırım ("lightning") Uyan (42).  In the course of the
argument, Uyan hit Kurt in the head with a blunt instrument. Both of
them filed police complaints against each other.

On 1 February, Kurt hit Uyan with his car as the latter was walking along
and then beat him with a stick, later tying Uyan's hands and feet in a
mountainous area and, realizing he was dead, he buried him.

On 3 February, Uyan's father Ali Uyan went to the police station to file
a missing persons report. Police then determined that Uyan-the-younger
was last seen on Bozkır Avenue, where video showed him being hit by
Kurt's car and beaten by Kurt, as well.

Kurt was arrested and in his statement he "explained" that he had taken
Uyan to a stable where he bound his hands and feet and subjected him
to beatings and torture for four hours.  The subsequent autopsy report
showed that all of Uyan's bones were broken and his face, shoulder and
hip were scalded (!).  "Explaining" further, Kurt said that the two had
been at odds for a long while and that "I tried to burn him but I was
unsuccessful.  I buried him in a hole about 800 meters from the place
where I tried to burn him."

Uyan's body was recovered and Kurt was jailed.
