Camera saw tattoos! So just take it off when you get home.

The incident took place during the night of September 13 on Sefa
Özler Street in the Kuruköprü neighborhood of Seyhan district of
Adana. Mehmet Ali L. (53), a jewelry craftsman, concealed his face
with a helmet and traveled to the commercial building housing the
shop of İshak Ş. (56)—a silver wholesaler with whom he had
previously conducted business with.

Carrying tools and equipment on his motorcycle, Mehmet Ali L.
waited until the end of the workday and the subsequent closing of
the building to carry out the theft.

Using an oxygen torch, Mehmet Ali L. cut the locks on the iron door
of İshak Ş.’s shop. He then proceeded to fill a suitcase and a sack he
had brought along with 115 kilograms of silver, some of which was
in the form of ingots, taken from the shop’s cabinets.

After completing the theft, the suspect exited the premises, having also
dismantled the door of the commercial building itself.

Following a report by İshak Ş., who discovered the theft upon arriving
to open his place of business, teams from the Public Security Branch’s
Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau launched an investigation. After
examining security camera footage from the area, the teams identified
the suspect’s residence.

During a raid on the house, the teams recovered a motorcycle that had
been altered—some of its parts had been removed, replaced, and the
vehicle itself repainted. It was also determined that the suspect,
Mehmet Ali L., had kept his helmet on the entire time to avoid being
recognized and had worn a sleeve-like garment featuring tattoo designs
on his arm. (!)

With great fashion sense, Mehmet Ali wore a silver t-shirt...
sans tattoo sleeves.

Additionally, the suitcase used to transport the stolen silver items was
discovered in the woodshed at the suspect’s home. Mehmet Ali L., who
was taken to the police station, denied the allegations during his
interrogation, claiming that he had not committed any theft and had
no connection to the incident.

Following the necessary procedures, the suspect was referred to the
courthouse, where he was subsequently arrested by the court.
Furthermore, during searches conducted at two separate locations,
the teams recovered approximately 55 kilograms of the stolen silver
items and returned them to their owner.
