Girls Held on Goose Farm by Maniacal Owner

And on his farm there was a deviant - himself.


Police in Istanbul set up a special team to track young girls who
have escaped from their dormitories and determined that some
of them had been held at a goose farm in Kayışdağı, Ataşehir.
The day before yesterday, police raided the farm and first drugged
3 pit bulls and a Kangal dog in the garden of the farm, where there
were ramshackle huts for housing animals, and gained entry.

An Afghani named Sabur R., who was looking after the geese
and chickens, was taken into custody but the farm's owner
Abuzer Sayan could not be found.  However, police did find
videos that confirmed that young girls were being held and
exploited at the farm under duress.  Police found CDs showing
that 4 girls between the ages of 14-17 - A.T., K.Ü., H.K. and A.U,
had been brought to the farm against their will and had been
sexually exploited.  In addition, two revolvers and 180
bullets were recovered by police.

Three of the girls returned to their dormitories but were too
scared to talk about their experiences.  It is believed that
Abuzer Sayan has so far lured 7-8 girls to the farm and forced
them into sexual acts at gunpoint.  Subsequently, police identified
Sayan's home in Ataşehir and when they raided it they rescued
a 17-year-old girl named H.K. who was being held there.  Sayan
was arrested and a records check found that he was wanted for
12 crimes, including kidnapping and car theft, among other
illegal acts.

'Black Sheep' Son's Hit Man Plan Backfires

Dad playing the death scene to perfection.

In Sochi, Russia, police played quite a trick on a 22-year-old
who planned to have a hit man kill his rich family so he could
inherit their money.  Detectives learned that the suspect was
looking for a hit man to kill his parents and 10-year-old sister
so one of them made contact with the suspect in the guise of
a killer-for-hire.

The suspect revealed all the family's habits and where and
how they might best be killed to the phony hit man but he
wanted photographic proof before paying.   Police then made
contact with the family, which was heartbroken by the news,
but nevertheless agreed to cooperate. 

Police took photos of the family members' 'bodies', complete
with special-effects blood and gore.  When the suspect saw
the 'proof'' he paid the phony hit man 200,000 TL (about
$60,000) and was arrested on the spot.  Explaining his
motivation the 'black sheep' son said "they wouldn't give me
any money. I had no other choice." (!)

Next stop: Coney Island for the hot dog eating contest.

In Denizli, a contest was held at Mehmet Kaya's restaurant to
see if a customer could eat the amount of food he or she said
was possible.  The winner would be awarded a 1/4-size gold
piece.  Customer Elif İşeri took up the challenge, claiming
she could eat 151 shish kebabs. 

A waiter brought her that amount of kebabs, plus ayran and
lavaş bread.  At first, Elif hanım rolled the meet into sandwich-
like portions but quickly realized her stomach could not
accommodate this technique.  Switching to eating the kebab
pieces one by one, Elif hanım finished them all in 30 minutes
and claimed her prize.

Well, at least they're out from behind their computers and
IPhones...

In recent years the Ankara-Kars train "Doğu Expresi" has become
popular with young people, sparking the tourism sectors of
provinces and districts along the way.  As the train approaches
Erzurum, the youngsters get the phone numbers of restaurants
in the city from railroad personnel and place orders for 'cağ kebap',
in particular. 


              So this is what real snow looks like...

The restaurants bring the hundreds of orders to the Erzurum
train station and deliver them to the young people riding the train.
The passengers got a surprise in Erzincan's Kemah district two
days ago: District Chief Ahmet Karaaslan and Mayor Osman
Kemal Aslan got permission from TCDD (Turkish Railways)
to keep the train in Kemah 20 minutes longer than normal.  With
a band playing, the passengers were offered rock salt, lavaş
bread and local cheese, along with a brochure and CD about
Kemah.  Some of the passengers dance the 'halay' with locals.

Inmates' Ceiling Escape Plans Fail, Again

Students hoping to get to the Fenerbahçe football match
tried the same technique in an old Turkish film, but their
plan 'fell through', too. 

For the second time in 18 months robbery inmates at a jail in the
judicial building in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, have tried to escape.
The inmates faked a fight and six of them fled into the room's
false ceiling.  One fell in front of a courtroom, one fell in the
women's restroom and a third fell in a judge's chambers (!), broke
a window and escaped the building but was recaptured the next day.

On January 31st, 20 robbery suspects were brought to the judicial
building in Sefaköy, Küçükçekmece, to give their statements.
Faking a fight, six of the suspects entered the false ceiling.  Besides
the three who fell through the ceiling, the three others were nabbed
within the building. 

On 30 June 2016, in the same judicial building, members of a
robbery gang put their leader on their shoulders and into the false
ceiling.  He, too, fell through the ceiling into the court secretariat
where workers screamed and summoned police.
