Angelic image of Ziya Z...Angel of Death.
During a traffic check in Sarıyer, Istanbul, Çağrı G. (33) and Ziya Z. (40)
were stopped by the police while walking on the road. In the course of
their interrogation, it was revealed that Ziya Z. had a final prison sentence
of 27 years and 2 months (!), and Çağrı G. had a final prison sentence of
2 years. It was determined that Ziya Z. was arrested for murder in 2008
but escaped from an open prison in 2018. Ziya Z., who has a total of 30
criminal records and was found to be in possession of an unlicensed
handgun, and Çağrı G. were arrested.
The incident occurred on April 21st, around 12:00 PM, in Cumhuriyet
neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Çağrı G. and
Ziya Z. were stopped on suspicion during a patrol by Sarıyer Public
Security Bureau teams. During questioning, it was determined that
Çağrı G. was wanted for "purchasing, carrying, or possessing unlicensed
firearms and ammunition," with a confirmed prison sentence of 2 years.
Ziya Z. was found to be wanted for a total of 27 years and 2 months of
confirmed prison sentences for "intentional homicide," "disturbing the
peace and tranquility of individuals," "purchasing, carrying, or
possessing unlicensed firearms and ammunition," and "intentional
wounding." It was also determined that Ziya Z. had served 10 years in
prison for murder and escaped from an open prison in 2018.
A search of Ziya Z.'s person yielded one unlicensed handgun. The
weapon was confiscated, and an investigation into the incident was
launched. Following their processing at the police station, the two
individuals were referred to the courthouse, where they were arrested
and sent to prison. It was also revealed that Ziya Z. had 10 previous
criminal records, while Çağrı G. had 20.
