"Hey Yunushan, let's have some accidental fun."
Turkish Airlines technician Hasan Şener was driving along Hadımköy
Yolu Avenue in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, with his wife and children
when he got into a yield-right-of-way dispute with Ercan Demir, who
cut off Şener and tried to make him stop his car. When Şener drove on,
he happened to slightly bump into Demir's car.
Both parties alighted from their vehicles and Demir and his friend
Yunushan Erdoğan demanded 2,000 TL (about $130) from Şener,
who put the blame for the accident on the other two and wanted to
call the police to record the incident.
However (!), tensions rose and Demir and Erdoğan pummeled Şener
in front of his family. The two attackers then sped off, as onlookers
shouted at them for their shameless behavior. Meanwhile, Şener was
taken to a hospital for treatment and Büyükçekmece police tracked
down Demir and Erdoğan, who were both jailed.
