Faint-of-heart bride.
In the Doğuyaka quarter of Muratpaşa district of Antalya province,
Okan Kuşbaş (18) and Gülfer Yeleç (18) organized a 'kına gecesi'
(bride's girlfriends paint her hands with henna) on 29 August. After
the event, groom Kuşbaş went to his home and began firing a gun
from the balcony, evidently in celebration.
Two nightwatchmen on Âşık Veysel Avenue heard the shots and
rushed to the street. But Kuşbaş then began firing at the watchmen.
He was taken into custody and 12 empty cartridges were found at
the scene. Kuşbaş spent the night at the police station and was
transported to court on 30 August, which was to be his wedding
day. (!)

Bride Yeleç emerged from the hairdresser and went to the
courthouse to get Kuşbaş so they could go to the wedding hall.
However (!), the judge ruled that because Kuşbaş fired his gun
at public officials he had to go to jail. This development
prompted Yeleç to faint. Her relatives took her to the hospital
by automobile. The wedding has been rescheduled until Kuşbaş
gets out of the slammer.
