In Erzurum, Ömer Tutaş (30) saved the life of his sister Şeyma Tutaş (23)
by intervening when she fell ill during breakfast and her tongue got stuck
in her throat. After his sister was taken to the hospital by ambulance,
Ömer Tutaş suffered a heart attack and died in the hospital where he was
taken. It was stated that Tutaş, who had a heart condition, had an
appointment at the hospital for 15:00 on the same day at the insistence
of his friends.

The incident occurred the previous morning in the Osman Bektaş
neighborhood of Palandöken district. While having breakfast at home,
Şeyma Tutaş suddenly became breathless. Her older brother, Ömer
Tutaş, noticed her distress and intervened.

Tutaş removed her tongue, which had become lodged in her throat,
allowing her to breathe. Medical teams arrived at the scene following
a call and transported Şeyma Tutaş to the hospital. After his sister was
taken to the hospital, Ömer Tutaş returned home and became ill.

Ömer Tutaş, who was taken to Atatürk University Research Hospital
by medical teams who arrived after his family reported the incident,
could not be saved despite all the doctors' efforts. It was stated that
Ömer Tutaş died as a result of a heart attack.

Şeyma Tutaş, whose treatment continues in the intensive care unit of
Erzurum City Hospital, is reported to be in critical condition.

A funeral prayer was held for Ömer Tutaş at the Hacı Osman Efendi
Mosque in the Palandöken district. Hüseyin Tutaş, a local artist from
Erzurum who lost one son while his daughter was fighting for her life
in intensive care, struggled to stand during the prayer. Supported by
his fellow artists, Hüseyin Tutaş embraced his son's coffin and wept.

It was stated that Ömer Tutaş had been suffering from a heart condition
for some time and had made an appointment at the hospital for 3 PM
on June 2nd at the insistence of his friends. Tarık Çelik, a friend of
Ömer Tutaş, said, "During breakfast, his sister's tongue got stuck in
her throat. Ömer intervened, saved his sister, and sent her to the hospital
by ambulance. Afterwards, he himself became ill. Despite the efforts
of the medical team, he could not be saved. As his friends, we noticed
he was having health problems and had made an appointment for 3 PM
that same day. However, he passed away before he could make his
appointment."
