"Save & Release": Young Boy Stranded on Pipe in Racing Current Rescued by Firefighters, in İnegöl

   Rewarded for saying his prayers before bed each night....
   sometimes rescue ladders go sideways.

11-year-old Gündoğan K., who lost his balance and fell into a stream in 
the İnegöl district of Bursa, managed to climb onto a concrete pipe to 
avoid being swept away by the current and was rescued by firefighters.

Gündoğan K., who was playing with his friends by the stream in the 
rural Şibali neighborhood of İnegöl district, lost his balance and fell 
into the water around 17:30. After managing to reach the opposite bank, 
the boy re-entered the water to join his friends on the other side. 

However (!), he began to be swept away by the current. Nevertheless,
the child managed to climb onto a concrete pipe in the middle of the 
stream. Fire department, Gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched 
to the scene. The boy was rescued by a firefighter who reached him using 
a ladder extended to the concrete pipe and brought to shore.

The child was taken to İnegöl State Hospital by ambulance, and it was 
learned that his health condition is good.
